  • Test your understanding of Topic 1

Child Development
Child development, is the growth of perceptual, emotional, intellectual, and behavioral capabilities and functioning during childhood.

Learning through play
Young children can develop many skills through the power of play. Play helps to nurture imagination and give a child a sense of adventure. Through this, they can learn essential skills such as problem solving, working with others, sharing and much more. In turn, this helps them develop the ability to concentrate.

Parental interactions
When interacting with a parent, children learn social skills, such as sharing, cooperating, and respecting things of others. In addition, young children also learn to communicate and develop motor skills

Record keeping
Record keeping is not everyone’s cup of tea. But if you are starting a daycare, it is one aspect of the business you cannot afford to slide to the backburner. As many daycare providers agree, record-keeping and administrative paperwork can turn out be overwhelming and seem like it’s pushing you to the verge of a burnout, if you do not have a systematic plan right from the outset . Staying organized and tackling the paperwork on a regular basis can save you precious time and help you make the most of your day with the children.
